Dr Tara Quinlivan is a clinical psychologist with extensive experience working with children, adolescents and adults. Dr Quinlivan works across the life span with people who might be experiencing a variety off issues such as; anxiety, depression, school refusal, Autism, behavioural issues, grief, life adjustments and trauma. Dr Quinlivan has a special interest in supporting women in their parenting and in their adjustment to motherhood. Through her experience working with families and individuals Dr Quinlivan has developed a keen understanding of the interconnectedness of an individuals mental health with their family and community networks. As such, she takes a holistic approach to mental health and works closely with both the individual, their family and other important groups in their lives. Dr Quinlivan has a gentle and person centred approach to therapy, ensuring that individuals feel empowered by the process of therapy.
Dr Quinlivan takes this systems approach to mental health into her trainings and workshops. Her work as a therapist has allowed her to establish an extensive knowledge of mental health and develop a nuanced understanding of the barriers and complexities in developing and maintaining positive change. Through training and consultancy Dr Quinlivan aims to improve mental health for women and young people by sharing her knowledge and insights with individuals in key roles within the community
