Our Mission:
Raft psychology has a focus on the needs of women, young people and children. After 15 years of working with families the interconnectedness of an individuals wellbeing to their family and their community is clear. Raft psychology aims to work with women in their journey through pregnancy, motherhood and parenting. The growth through motherhood is often not talked about, but it is as challenging as it is beautiful. Raft psychology aims to support women through this journey by providing a realistic appreciation of the social myths that surround motherhood and the difficulties we can face as parents.
Raft psychology also works with young people to provides support, therapy and care. Children and adolescents often struggle with fears, anxieties and sadness. Raft psychology works directly with young people to help support them through their development. While providing comprehensive information and effective strategies to address mental health concerns, we aim to give voice to the messy parts of human nature. It is often these unique and unspoken factors that hold us back. Through integrating evidence based knowledge with reflective practice Raft psychology offers therapy, training and consultancy that is both effective and meaningful, eliciting dynamic and long lasting change.
